THE CANNON

To reflect the importance of 18th century artillery, the Militia also demonstrates the loading and firing of a full-scale, reproduction three pounder field gun of the American Revolution.

The Militia fires the cannon with blank charges at most events.

Before and after firings the public is invited to inspect the cannon up close and learn how it is fired.
