ACTIVITIES AND CRAFTS
A variety of colonial crafts and skills are demonstrated by the Militia. This promotes family participation among the membership and provides a wide range of educational activities. These include sewing, camp cooking, embroidery, weaving, leather working, horn work, silversmithing, cartridge making, woodworking, and more. Music was an important part of colonial life and is well represented at our events by our musicians. Our talented members demonstrate their skills at every event.
A feature at every event is the Children's Musket Drill - children of all ages (and adults too) are taught to march, drill and fire "practice muskets".
The public is encouraged to ask questions and examine the equipment used by the participants.
